On Tuesday, April 4th, the Lyndonville School District, along with approximately 50 other Districts across NYS, received a generic, non-specific bomb threat email. The Superintendent immediately contacted the Orleans County Sheriff's Department, who arrived on the scene in minutes. They have investigated, cleared our buildings and have determined that this was not a credible threat.

Unfortunately, there are individuals in our society who continue to send threatening messages to school districts across the country. In situations like this, we will always work with the Orleans County Sheriff's Department and their law enforcement partners to analyze the threat and determine the appropriate level of response. The FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force is now further investigating these email threats.

Our community's safety will always be our first priority.
