Special Education update

March 17, 2020

Dear Parents and Guardians of Students with Disabilities,

I hope this communication finds you and your family well. Dr. Slack, Dr. Smith, Mr. Smith, and I will be available to you and your family during the School Closure. You may reach us by phone or email. We will be working throughout.

We will make every effort to hold CSE/Annual Review/CPSE meetings using telephone conferencing. Mrs. LuAnn Henry will be in contact with you to confirm appointments.

During our school closure, you will find learning activities for your child(ren) on our website and available in print form in the school office. These activities are for review, to strengthen needed skills, and enrichment. Your child’s special education and general education teachers, have worked together to provide learning activities that can be done at home independently, or with little support. These will be found on the website under your child’s teacher’s page. Please reference the school website for up-to-date information and weekly updates in learning activities and content. Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language activities for at home support are included online. Students who receive OT and Speech/language services will have received support activities in an individual mailing

If internet connections are not available, and your family needs to access Wi-Fi, the school building will act as a “hot spot”. You may access Wi-Fi from the grounds or parking lots located around the school building. Further information is available on the school website. Access the Wi-Fi using:. Network:guest   Password:wireless

The entire Lyndonville School faculty and staff wish you and your family good health and safety during this crisis. Please do not hesitate to contact me personally with any questions of concerns. ssmith@lyndonvillek12.org

Sincerely,

Sharon Smith Director of Instruction and Student Services
