Mr. Santella's library/tech students have been hard at work using technology to create! 6th graders developed their own Flappy Bird game, while 4th graders are shown showing off the name tags they designed in Tinkercad, and then printed with the Library 3D Printer!
Mrs. Sparks' UPK class had a field trip to Medina Memorial Hospital for the Teddy Bear Clinic! 🧸 We had a tour of the hospital, and our teddy bears went on a bus ride, stopped for a quick x-ray and were bandaged up by the kind nurses. Our bears were good as new when we left!
Recently, some of our talented singers from the Elementary and Jr. High choruses sang the National Anthem and Take Me Out to the Ballgame at the Batavia MuckDogs game! 🎤The kids had a blast and the MuckDogs won! Brianna Wheeler was also chosen as Teacher of the Game! ⚾
☀️ Yesterday, the elementary school students had some Field Day Fun! The students enjoyed a handful of outdoor activities - the most fun perhaps being the inflatable obstacle course and water slide! What a great way to stay cool for the summer. 😎
Our friend Denali recently came to visit our PreK-3 friends! They did so well keeping their bodies calm and learning how to be patient and wait their turn to pet her! 🐶
Last week, Mrs. VonHendy's class learned about the history of Flag Day before going outside with Mrs. Hill to say the pledge at the flagpole!
Sixth graders recently visited Niagara Falls and took a trip on the Maid of the Mist! Students and chaperones alike enjoyed spectacular views of the falls while getting soaked! 🌊
🧊 Our PreK3 archaeologists had a great time excavating these frozen icy dinosaur eggs! They used droppers with warm water and other tools to melt the ice. All their eggs hatched cool dinosaurs that they were able to take home! 🦖
📚 Fifth graders experienced history through the lens of Old Fort Niagara! The field trip was led by a knowledgeable docent, and students enjoyed being among the reenactors and artifacts, and listening to the water of Lake Ontario. 🌊
✍️ Mrs. Thompson's Kindergarten class learned about and watched the life cycle of a butterfly. Recently, they wrote letters to their butterflies while learning about the three parts of a letter. They then read their letters to the butterflies before they were released outside. 🦋
🥎 The Girls Modified Softball team knocked it out of the park in their last game of the season! To top it off, they celebrated with an ice cream party that was a real home run. It sounds like they had a ball! Congratulations to the team on a season well played.
