Our preschoolers recently incorporated a fun lemonade stand project into their World of Wonders curriculum! In Unit 4, the theme was food, and students were excited to learn about food, where it comes from and how it changes when cooked. To go along with the theme, students learned about different jobs in the food industry. In the math component, students learned about money by looking at coins and learning about quantities. With their lemonade stand, the kids selected the prices, made a list of ingredients, made lemonade and constructed the stand before making transactions with paper money! What a sweet lesson!
