Pre-K 4 celebrated their last day before holiday break in Deanna Luckman's class on Friday.
Pre-K students in Emily Aydelotte's class had fun in the playroom practicing their wrapping skills. Thanks to Dr. Elissa Smith for providing us with the wrapping paper!

Sixth graders shared their Christmas Narratives on 12/19. They worked hard brainstorming, organizing, editing, revising and applying their creativity. Each story was unique. Some students illustrated their cover pages. They celebrated their writing piece by sharing with each other and enjoying some cookies.

First graders learned about holidays around the world today by traveling to other classrooms. They learn about holiday celebrations in Mexico, Germany and Sweden. Students made crafts, received treats and listened to stories.



Pre-K had a fun day decorating gingerbread cookies today.

Alisha Duffina's sixth grade WIN class thoroughly enjoyed reading to Amy Muscato's first grade class. They have been working on fluency and intonation while reading aloud, and what better way than with fun, Christmas-themed stories. The first graders were great listeners and answered lots of questions the sixth graders came up with. One of the sixth graders stated it was so much better than she expected!







Good luck to the Girls Modified Basketball team as they compete at home against Pembroke at 5 p.m. today!

In the main foyer on Housel Ave., there is a portrait gallery of our graduating seniors. Thanks to all the staff members involved for helping make this display possible. It is a special and meaningful way to honor our senior class.

Pre-K 4 students in Deanna Luckman's class made ornaments with puffy paint and practiced their patterns on candy canes today.






Our new staff and their mentors worked together to build Christmas trees. They were given limited time and materials before our judges determined the winners. This activity promoted collaboration, creativity and problem-solving as a team, plus LOTS of laughs. Happy holidays from the LCS mentor program!
