Another successful year of ELA & Math Camp at LCS is in the books! To celebrate, we took students to Hamlin Beach State Park through a #ConnectKidsToParks grant that supports #NYStateParks trips for schools!

Students took pride in their research and writing projects at our Summer ELA & Math Camp. Students in different grades researched animals and US States, and crafted narratives about summer experiences.

Students applied their learning at Summer ELA & Math Camp by writing cards, addressing the envelope, counting correct change, and visiting the Post Office to purchase stamps and mail the cards. Special thanks to the Lyndonville Post Office for the help and extra information!

Congratulations to all of the participants from Lyndonville, Medina and Albion in this year's Summer Music Fest! Welcome to Mr. Kiffner who debuted as our band director!

We are thankful for our collaboration with Cornell Cooperative Extension and Ag In the Classroom. Our Summer ELA & Math Camp students research animals and complete math projects, then visit the 4H Fair to get hands on STEM experience!

This fall, Lyndonville will be offering an Introduction to Agriculture elective course to students in grades 9-12. Participation in this course will enable Lyndonville students to participate in Medina's chapter of Future Farmers of America. Students will explore topics such as food production, horticulture, and small animal care. Our instructor Mr. Jeff Gress has been collaborating closely with Medina agriculture teacher Todd Eick on the development of the course curriculum. We visited Mr. Eick’s agriculture classroom at Medina High School to tour the facility and talk with students. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact the counseling office or Dr. Slack for more information!

Our ELA & Math Camp is underway for K-6 students! We're busy researching US States and animals, writing informative essays, crafting stories and working on math projects! 🌞

From left to right: North lot, air conditioning equipment, new classroom, cafeteria, locker room, cafeteria, and West parking lot!
Moving along quickly!

We have streamlined the 7-12 school supply list to promote student organization and ease the burden and expense of school shopping. Each student will be issued a 3-inch binder. This binder will contain sections for each subject area. Teachers will work with students to set up and organize these binders. For the first day of school and thereafter, students will need to bring the following items:
1. 2 or 3 ring Pencil Pouch always with at least 2 pencils, 3 black/blue pens, 1 highlighter, 1 red pen, 1 pack colored pencils (optional)
2. 5 Divider Tabs
3. 50 sheets of loose leaf paper

Our LCS student athletes and Close Up students were honored to assist the Lions Club with their annual July 4th event!

Congratulations to the Class of 2031 as they graduated from Kindergarten this week! You can watch their three songs on the LCS YouTube Channel! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vobVga8W9kQ
