Dear Parents, The safety of LCSD children is very important to us. As you are aware, we are required to conduct fire and safety drills. Our Faculty and Staff have been trained on how to conduct all drills in a calm and emotionally safe manner. Planned fire drills are weather dependent. This message is to inform you that we will be conducting drills in the next week. Please contact me or your child's Principal if you have any questions or concerns. Sincerely, Sharon Smith Superintendent of Schools

Dear Parents, The safety of LCSD children is very important to us. It is well-known that we are required to conduct fire and safety drills. A new requirement under Educational Law is parental notification. Our faculty and staff have been trained on how to conduct all drills in a calm and emotionally safe manner for your child. Fire drills are weather dependent. I will send out parental notifications any week we plan to conduct drills. This message is to inform you that we will be conducting drills within the next week. Please contact me or your child's principal if you have any questions or concerns. Sincerely, Sharon Smith Superintendent of Schools
