Come out for the Tiger Talent Show on April 24! Featuring singers, dancers, a faculty band and a calf-roping demonstration! Admission is $3 per person, with kids ages 5 and younger free! Concessions will be available for sale. This fundraiser supports the Freshman Class.
First graders in Amy Damasiewicz's reading group celebrated literacy and National Schwa Day today! They have been learning how that sneaky sound appears in many multi-syllable words. They had an a-mazing day!
Fifth graders completed an independent reading challenge in quarter 3! Students who were able to read at least 1 novel and pass the AR quiz received a fun prize, book and bookmark! The top 5 readers in each class will get to eat lunch in the classroom next week!

The Library Department just finished their Maple Unit (Sugaring Time) with a presentation by School Resource Officer Deputy Barnum of his own Maple Syrup Production. During this unit the first grade students were able to learn where Maple Syrup comes from and how it is made. They were able to taste and see the sap before it is boiled (it really does look like water), and Deputy Barnum brought in Maple syrup from his sugaring operation for the students to sample. School Librarian Miss Collins and Library/Media Aide Mrs. Fredericks want to thank Deputy Barnum for all of his help with this project.

Second graders had a visit from Kristina Gabalski from Orleans County Cornell Cooperative Extension to celebrate Agricultural Week. Students listened to the book "The Pie That Molly Grew" and learned how a pumpkin grows. They even enjoyed making and eating pumpkin pudding!
