There is a new Pawsitive Rock Garden, located outside the Housel Ave. building. Created on High Five Day by teachers Ashley Maybach and Emma Baldwin, along with students. Take a rock or leave a rock for good vibes!


The Kindergarten Celebration was held on June 18. Students performed a few songs before watching a slideshow of the last year.

Sixth graders attended their Moving Up Day on June 18. This future Class of 2031 walked across the stage to receive their certificates from Pre-K-Grade 6 Principal Dr. Elissa Smith, shook hands with their teachers and were acknowledged for various awards and achievements. Junior/Senior High School Principal Dr. Aaron Slack talked to students about their next level of their education.
Jennifer Luxon's Pre-K 3 class had an End of Year Celebration on June 20. Students performed a few songs, then accepted their certificates. They were shyly proud of their own accomplishments!

Fourth graders enjoyed stepping back in time during their fieldtrip to the Genesee Country Village & Museum earlier this month.










The Newspaper Club held a "Dundies" ceremony (modeled after "The Office"), where paper plate awards were distributed, recognizing dedication & achievements. Congrats to Sarah, Robin, Bella, Lila, Alexis & Karalyn! Bella earned the "Paper MVP," for founding & putting forth the scope & structure of the club. The Club determined that the Dundie trophy receiver will hold onto it for a year, then pass it onto another person deemed deserving of it.
Thanks to Aurora who helped Club Advisor Emma Baldwin design & distribute the awards, & coordinate the celebration.



These second graders received Student of the Month for demonstrating cooperation and integrity throughout the months of May and June. Congratulations!

Grades 7-12 celebrated High Five Day yesterday as the final day of school before exams began. They enjoyed typical summertime food, played lawn games outdoors and pursued some artistic endeavors.

On Monday, students in grades K-1 finished up Yoga Fun Club led by Reading Teacher Amy Damasiewicz. Along the way, they learned some common yoga moves, breathing and relaxation techniques, and engaged in cooperative learning games.





Fifth-eighth grade chorus singers sang "Take Me Out to the Ballgame” during the 7th inning stretch of the Muckdogs game on Saturday. They also sang the national anthem, ate lots of junk food, ran the bases, got countless autographs, and watched fireworks! Thank you so much to our amazing chaperones and to the Muckdogs organization for hosting us. What a fun night with an awesome come from behind win! We love what has become a yearly tradition! 😁❤️⚾️

Second and third grade students celebrated their last music class of the year with Music Teacher Becky Botsford. They made "Glow Music" using neon and black lights. They danced with glow sticks, waved scarves to Camille Saint Saens "Aquarium," drummed to "Eye of the Tiger" and played percussion to Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik."




Students in Fifth Grade Band spent today showing gratitude to the composers who wrote the music they performed this year. They wrote notes and made cards for their favorite composers. These cards will be mailed out later this week!



Today, Deanna Luckman's Pre-K 4 students visited the kindergarten classroom in the Housel Ave. building (and a new playground for them!). Her class had a wonderful time!
